About me

Who is Jynus?

Jynus Jynus -a.k.a. Jaime Crespo- is the person behind this website.

Born in Logroño (Spain), Jynus is a vocational computer science student. That's the reason why he spent the last four years of his life living in Zaragoza and studing in "Centro Politécnico Superior" College. For this years, he lived in Pedro Cerbuna hall of residence, where he experienced lots of good days.

Erasmus Having not much more than one year left at college, he decided to go abroad with the Erasmus program for the 2005-2006 course. The chosen university was EPFL, at Lausanne (Switzerland), near Geneve. He will try there to pass most of the subjects he has left and start his degree project. If he has the chance, he will be able to practice his not so good French and English (Spanish is his mother tongue).

Preferences and interests

ubuntu In computering, he is keen on several fields: computer vision, digital image processing, system administration, web services and, above all, everything related to Free/ Open Source software.

Debian GNU/Linux user for a long time, his favourite distros are Debian and Ubuntu/Kubuntu. He is also an occasional editor or translator in Wikipedia in Spanish.

His hobbies, apart from computers, are: reading, watching movies and astronomy (but not astrology!). His favourite book is "Le petit prince" and his favourite movie, "Casablanca".

Contact

If, after reading all this, you still feel like getting in touch with him, you can do it in several ways:

Just some final remarks: do NOT send me chain mails, because i will ignore it. Do NOT forward me stupid things you find in Internet or you were sent before, because I won't read them. Do NOT send me MS Windows executables (.exe, .scr) nor Word (.doc), Powerpoint (.ppt), etc file formats, because I won't be able to open it, nor I would if i could. Even more: do NOT send me mail attachements unless I had asked you or it was absolutelly necessary, above all, if they are big. Do NOT send me HTML mails, because I will get angry.
